I'm using a Windows 10 laptop if that makes a difference. I know the eq isn't working because that guy on youtube would adjust the pre amp and it would change the audio volume, for me it does nothing, +30db sounds like -30db. I hit on and off and there is no difference in the sound, so the eq isn't applying. I know the program is running because if I play audio it shows up in the live peak value meter. The windows sound settings say the output is "Headphones (Realtek Audio)" and on Equalizer APO it has the output as "Headphones (Realtek Audio)." I have tried using the headphones directly into the laptop and when using a Type C dongle, it doesn't work. I have powered bookshelf speakers with a built-in DAC connected by an optical link to my motherboard's Realtek Digital Output. Equalizer APO works perfectly for this device. Is there a utility/gui that I can install to EQ this. I saw a YouTube video and he ran the program as administrator and reset the audio driver in settings. The Samsung is better built, and it comes with more sound enhancement features like a graphic EQ. Soundcards are internal DAC that feed the headphone jack but the USB output is digital and unaffected by Control Panel audio settings.
I then switched to a single tone and no matter what I did, it didn't apply the eq. To make sure I made the eq curve really bad, turning all bass to -30db and treble to +30db, I didn't hear a difference.
I applied the DT 770 curve and when playing audio I would turn it on and off, there was no difference. I plugged DT 770 straight into the laptop headphone jack just to test if it works.
I tried using Equalizer APO with the Peace interface, but it wouldn't work. I am planning on getting Arya Stealth, and if I was spending that much on headphones, they should sound as good as they can.
